Production Engine
Terms of Service
Effective July 31, 2026
Agreement
These terms govern use of Production Engine, provided by Geared Like A Machine LLC, a Texas limited liability company. By creating a workspace or signing in, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if you are joining an existing workspace, on behalf of the tenant that invited you.
What the service is
Production Engine is provided for production companies and production teams to manage project operations: estimates, schedules, documents, financial workflows, and related tenant data. It is operational software, not a substitute for legal, insurance, tax, safety, payroll, or accounting review. Tenants remain responsible for final approvals and compliance on their own productions.
Tenant responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your project data, the users you grant access to your workspace, your client-facing materials, and the files you upload.
- You are responsible for any production decisions made using estimates, schedules, or other output the service generates.
- If you invite crew, cast, clients, or vendors into workflows that collect their information (for example a W-9 request), you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and share that information with us.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Attempt to access another tenant's workspace or data, or attempt to bypass tenant isolation or other security controls.
- Interfere with the service, including by attempting to overwhelm rate-limited endpoints.
- Upload unlawful material or use Production Engine for any purpose outside your account's authorized production workflow.
- Use the AI estimator to generate content for a purpose unrelated to producing a genuine estimate.
Billing
Subscription, trial, cancellation, and billing terms are controlled by your active plan and the records Stripe (our payment processor) keeps for your account. If a subscription lapses, your workspace becomes read-only rather than deleted; your data is not lost, but you cannot create or edit records until the subscription is reactivated. Access may also be limited, paused, or terminated for abuse, security risk, or violation of these terms.
Data and security
How we handle the data in your workspace, including tenant isolation and the subprocessors we use, is described in our Privacy Policy and Security pages. If your organization requires a data processing agreement, see Data Processing Agreement.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Production Engine is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Production Engine and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in this section limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Changes to these terms
We will update the effective date above when we make a material change to these terms. Continued use of Production Engine after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
